Proxy Help!

Postby m82492 on Mon Jan 25, 2010 4:41 am

Love the auto poster but would really like to be able to use a proxy when sending the messages. I have been unable to locate working proxies for this script. Is there a special type of proxy that is needed? I don't have any of the other products in order to assign random proxies to the accounts and then import.

Please help me be able to use proxies with this product.

Hi m82492,

Thanks for your post.

Generally speaking, it doesn't need any special type of proxy. If you want to assign random proxies to the accounts, please use the feature "Manage Proxies" which will search public proxies for you and assign them to your accounts automatically. Please view our tutorial video about "Manage Proxies" on the link http://www.tweetfollowing.com/videos/tw ... ageProxies. I think it will help you to use the feature well.

Have a great day.

When I click Manage Proxies and then hit Search it doesn't find any proxies to use. Is that broken or am i doing something wrong?

Hi m82492,

You're right. The feature will take some time to search proxies, and can you see the running bar at the bottom of the console? If there it is, then it is searching proxies for you. Are the other features working well for you?

Yes with the exception of the proxy it works great. Problem is when I hit Search it does run but finds no proxies. Returns 0 after it runs.

Hi m82492,

Sorry for causing you so much trouble.

If you hit "Search" button to search proxies, it will only check one page then stop to work. So if it happen to that page has no free proxies, the searching result would be 0. There are a lot of people are using our software and it very possible to search none proxies.

I suggest you to hit the "Assign a proxy for each account" to assign proxies for your accounts. Because after hitting this button, the program will continue to search proxies on the next page even it found no proxies on the first page and until it has assigned proxies for each of your account. But before using this button, please go back to "Manage Accounts" dialog box and make all your accounts' proxy setting as "Default". If you are still not very clear about how to use this button, please refer to this video: http://tweetfollowing.com/help/Twitter/ ... roxies.htm

Hope the above information can give you some help and any problem contacts us freely!

I will give that a shot on my next run. Thank you! I didn't realize by hitting assign proxies it would continue to find them for my accounts.

One more question

When I shoose to not use a proxy the IP address listed on the console is that of my router not my actual IP. So which IP is it using? My router IP which is a generic IP or my actual IP ?

Thank you for your help. Great product!!!
