If you want to use the back follow and message option, you have to keep in mind that you'll get a lots of ''followers omit'' and ''exception'' because you'll have already followed them back, and unfollowed them, so you have to change some preference
Since you want to follow back everyone that is only following you, you have to uncheck the ''Don't add the friend that we're removed before'' In the Add friend feature. Also you have to uncheck in the preference --» twitter --» Friendadder AND Hardworker ---» ''Omit the friend who where added in any of your account''
Even if those people are mostly bots, it's usefull to have a lots of follower so people will be more willing to add you because you'll look more active.
So my recommendation would be, Because the setting are for ''all feature'' and we can't change it for only ''Backfollow and message'' so it's not great to make it work with the ''friend adder feature'' it would be cool to Change this feature so it will simply add everyone that are following us.
